Welcome to Sunset Ridge Coaching—where Wyoming ranch life meets faith-based wellness and intentional living. I’m Lori, a registered nurse and the heart behind this Christian homesteading blog and coaching practice.
I help women flourish in body and spirit through faith-based keto and carnivore health coaching. Whether you're navigating chronic fatigue, seeking clarity in your health journey, or simply craving a simpler, more grounded lifestyle, I’m here to walk alongside you with truth, grace, and practical support.
Since 2019, I’ve personally followed a carnivore lifestyle and experienced the life-changing power of eating in alignment with God’s design—simple, nourishing, and deeply healing. My coaching is rooted in Biblical truths, nutritional clarity, and a heart for helping women thrive.
We’re currently setting up to raise Dorper sheep here on our 43-acre ranch in Wyoming, with plans to offer pasture-raised lamb direct to consumers who value ethical sourcing, regenerative agriculture, and Christ-centered living.

WHERE MY STORY BEGINS
From Fatigue to Flourishing—By God’s Grace
I haven’t always lived with clarity, peace, or purpose. My journey has been marked by deep valleys—but also by God’s grace, healing, and restoration. Life on this ridge in Wyoming is peaceful now, but the path here was shaped by faith, nutritional clarity, and a deep desire to live in alignment with God’s design. If you’re walking through fatigue, confusion, or simply longing for a fresh start, I invite you into my story. Healing is possible—and it begins with truth.
My Story
My journey into faith-based wellness began in 2003 after the birth of my second child. I turned to keto to lose the baby weight—and it worked. But even with the weight gone, I continued to struggle with chronic issues like constipation, bloating, gas, anxiety, depression, and hayfever.
As a registered nurse and a mother, I began researching nutrition as a form of medicine—especially for my oldest son, who battles severe eczema and atopic dermatitis. I discovered that limiting inflammatory foods helped reduce his flare-ups, which led me deeper into the healing power of diet and lifestyle.
In 2019, my husband stumbled across the carnivore diet. He tried it and quickly saw improvements in weight, energy, and overall well-being. I was skeptical—I thought fiber and vegetables were essential—but I trusted my husband and went all in with a meat-based diet. Within days, my GI symptoms improved. Over time, I experienced lasting transformation: I’ve regained energy, eliminated sugar cravings and stress eating, and discontinued all prescription medications for migraines, depression, anxiety, and sleep. I’m currently navigating peri-menopause while maintaining a healthy weight and feeling stronger than I have in years.
These changes inspired me to share keto and carnivore recipes and wellness insights through my Christian homesteading blog, helping other women and their families experience the same freedom and clarity. Fast forward to today: we’ve moved from Pennsylvania westward to live out our dream of Wyoming ranch life. On our 43-acre ridge, we’re building Sunset Ridge Ranch from the ground up—raising animals for food, stewarding the land, and setting up to raise Dorper sheep with plans to offer pasture-raised lamb direct to consumers looking for ethical, regenerative options.
After moving to Wyoming, something even deeper shifted. I rededicated my life to Christ, and not long after, my husband and youngest son gave their lives to Jesus as well. We know without a doubt that God brought us here—not just to build a ranch, but to build a life rooted in faith, peace, and purpose. For the first time, we feel truly at home.
This journey has taught me that healing is possible, clarity is attainable, and God’s grace is always enough. His creation and design are perfect—providing everything we need, from perfect peace to animals raised with care for our tables.
